We have two distinct programs, Navy League Cadets, age 10 to 13 and Naval Sea Cadets, age 13 to 17.  Cadets receive training aboard Navy and Coast Guard ships, as well as on Army and Marine Installations and wear Navy uniforms marked with Sea Cadet Corps insignia.

Our Mission

The mission of the USNSCC14 C-Bee Stingers Battalion, Augusta Division is to cultivate an interest in seamanship, aviation, and other related subjects; to build a sense of pride, patriotism, self-reliance, discipline, confidence, and other qualities which mold good strong character and citizenship; to instill an appreciation of military history, customs, and traditions; and to develop our Corps Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment in every cadet.

Advancement Opportunities:

Sea Cadets have the opportunity to advance in rank in much the same way as active duty sailors.  They must complete a Navy training manual, a two week training, and an advancement exam.  Once this is completed and the cadet has enough "time-in-rate," they are advanced to the next rank.  The cadets have a chance to advance from "Seaman Recruit" to "Chief Petty Officer" in less than three years!  Navy League Cadets have a similar advancement program.  With advancement in rank, the cadet is given more authority and increased responsibility.
